Hi, I'm Luke. sometimes known as Lenlow. That's me on the left there, about 5 years ago. Hey, redesigning websites is a pain. Anyhoo, I live in Boston. I do computer stuff for a living. My hobbies include making mashups and playing them out live. Go over to my music page for that stuff. Or hang out here and listen to me blog. Since most of my free time is music-oriented, that tends to be what I blog about. You've been warned.

Cool, FHM linked to Parkspliced! That oughta boost the traffic a tad. And charitable donations, hopefully. I sure do wish the dude in charge would add links to our sites.

Whoa whoa whoa... go check out LastFM, stat! I'm just starting to use it, but it sounds like the best thing EVERRRRR on the interweb. It keeps track of music you play and music you like, and streams mp3's to your computer based on similar people's playlists or something. This had better be as cool as it sounds.

UPDATE: It is as cool as it sounds. Even if you don't have loads of personal data accumulated via Audioscrobbler, you can at least enter a few artists' names, and find someone with a playlist that matches, and play that person's. I kicked off Audioscrobbler last night on my home computer and it's been making its way through my 2500 songs... sometime today I should have enough data to find people with tastes like mine. If you're super-bored today, why not check out what song is currently playing at my apartment with nobody listening?

Funny Google search that brought someone to my site today: "hEY jEN: I accidentally hit Caps-Lock. It was nice to".

Hooray for spellcheckers! Peep this ESPN headline: "Prior will through simulated game." I'm guessing (hoping) they fix it by the time you click this.

After reading people's comments on Metafilter about the game "Eskiv" (see my previous post), I discovered this great game: Solar Wolf. But it's not Flash; you have to download it. It's pretty fun though. If you like that sort of thing.

Unfortunately two of the powerups crash the game for me, so they're basically one more thing I have to avoid... oh well. I'm sure this fascinates you all.

Boy... playing mindless arcade games really takes me back. How I've missed it.

Here are some slick-looking puzzles to keep you occupied for a bit. Check out that "Scaling Hyperpuzzle" they got there. It's weird because that Flash interface actually makes the puzzle tougher than it would be if you had all the pieces on the table in front of you. Kind of the opposite of most online puzzles.

Oh and here's a fun game: "Eskiv".

WOW. If you're ever confused about what this "mashup" or "bootleg" stuff is all about, check out Wikipedia's entry for "bastard pop". Everything you need to know is there: history, genres, links, you name it.

Parkspliced is here! Check it on out. My favorites are the tracks by Gameover, Fujikato, Dunproofin, Faultside, tbc, and DJ Nite. Lenlow's is okay too.

My vacation was pretty fun. Cedar Point was excellent, largely because of their new roller coaster: Top Thrill Dragster. It's the tallest and fastest coaster in the world! You go from zero to 120 mph in about 3 seconds, then straight up, then straight down with a couple of twists thrown in. Pretty exhilirating... I highly recommend it.

Oh here's a couple new additions to that word game I talked about recently. The first one's from Matt's buddy Jon: think of a non-proper word that contains DEZ in it. And also I just made one up: BEK.

Word on the street is that Parkspliced will be available this afternoon. I'll let you know.

False alarm about the bloglessness. But I just stopped in to share this Lego Spiderman movie that is sweeeeeeeeet.

I've got another long weekend coming up; I'll be gone from tonight till Sunday. Goin' to Cleveland with Annie.

Until then, enjoy this classic catfight, and this rather acrobatic gentleman.

I made a new mashup tonight: "Let Norwegians Be". For this I used "Let Forever Be" by the Chemical Brothers, "Norwegian Wood" by PM Dawn, and "Norwegian Wood" and "Norwegian Wood (Take 2)" by the Beatles.

Still another week or so before Parkspliced is released, which has a track of mine on it.

Hey gang... I'm off to the annual "White Trash Camping" trip with my frisbee team. (See past July archives for explanations, pictures, etc.) Have a great holiday, y'all! I'll be back Monday.
