I leave for London tonight! Woo! Two straight weeks of watching World Cup wif me mates in the pub. Go USA!
Oh and I made a couple new mashups; they're on my music page. Monday, May 08, 2006
Look at me, I'm a blogging machine. Just stopped in to share this excellent puzzle I found on t'internet:
Here it is. Fit all the shapes inside the square, with no overlapping. Shift-click a piece to rotate it. Wednesday, May 03, 2006
Hidely hey, readerinos!
Don't call it a comeback, I've been here for years. I've just been busy. And lazy. Not at the same time obviously. I'll separate my news into two parts: music-related, and non-music-related. And I'll start with music-related, I guess. My "Kanye Mahna" mashup made the Toronto Star's "Anti-Hit List" for the week of Feb 18. They called me a luminary! Wowsers. On the Friday before tax day, my mashup "To the Taxmobile" was played on WZLX. A couple people told me they heard it, and that they even said it was by Lenlow! So that's pretty cool. Actually the first evidence of being on the real radio here in the Boston area, that I know of. That week, my boy Party Ben made Taxmobile the Mashup of the Week on San Fran's Live105. Woo! Mash Ave has been going strong... it's still so much fun. In October, DJ BC and I will be going to Bootie in San Francisco to bring the east coast flava. Reprazent. Or something. Katie and I have slowly been working on that EP which will be released by Prank Monkey records. She's also been working on that mashup album with various GYBO producers. Stay tuned to Kenlow.org for news on that front. Katie's going to sing some mashups at Bootie LA this weekend! Go see her. DO IT. I haven't completed too many tunes lately, but I've got like 30 irons in the fire. But I'll let you know. Possibly sooner than 2 months. I think that wraps up the music-related news. On to the other stuff. This summer I am moving to Rumney, New Hampshire. I'll be inhabiting the cabin which my grandfather built. Middle of nowhere, great view, great house... it's a big change for me, but I'm really looking forward to it. My plan is not to go crazy or anti-social; we'll see how that plays out. I'll probably be down in the Boston area at least every other weekend (for Mash Ave). And I plan to work from home, doing consulting contracting of various sorts. In June, during the first two weeks of the World Cup, I will be in London. I'm not planning to do any DJing or anything, I just want to be able to watch games with people who actually care. And I want to see my London friends. I figured the beginning of the tourney would be wisest, when I can be sure England and USA are still in contention. Katie's also coming out to visit during that first weekend, so that'll be fun. In March my brother Matt married Michelle. That was awesome. It was a great weekend, filled with family we rarely see, and a beautiful ceremony, and a kickin' reception. Best wishes, M&M! That's all I can think of right now... until next time, which may be quicker than this time... Later. Monday, February 20, 2006
From the Toronto Star's "Anti-Hit List" for Feb 18:
"mash-up luminary Lenlow gets the bright idea to pair Mr. Modesty's rambunctious 'Gold Digger' with Cake's memorable cover of the even more rambunctious Muppet tune, 'Mahna Mahna.' If you think the concept is funny, wait'll you get a load of the execution." Hooray! Friday, January 27, 2006

Tomorrow Mash Ave returns to The Independent. We're calling it our one-year anniversary extravaganza, and there may even be birthday cake. We're also letting our two most faithful fans Chris and Adam do guest DJ spots. And I made a new song to play. I'll put it online this weekend. Woo!
